Trip Leaderboard

It's Day 2 of the Morocco trip and scores are coming in. Let's see how Sarah and the participants can track the standings.

Accessing the Leaderboard

From the trip dashboard, Sarah clicks Leaderboard.

She sees the aggregate standings across all completed (and in-progress) days.

The Aggregate View

The main leaderboard shows each participant's performance across all days:

Column What It Shows
Position Current ranking
Player Participant name
Day 1 Points from Day 1 (clickable)
Day 2 Points from Day 2 (or "—" if not played)
Day 3 Points from Day 3
Day 4 Points from Day 4
Total Sum of all days

Clickable Daily Scores

Each daily score is clickable. Tap a score to see the full scorecard for that round:

PLACEHOLDER: Score detail modal showing hole-by-hole breakdown

The score detail modal shows:

  • Hole-by-hole scores
  • Par for each hole
  • Stableford points per hole
  • Course information
  • Round totals

This makes it easy to see how someone built their score - or to settle debates about "what did you get on the 15th?"

Movement Indicators

As scores update, you'll see movement indicators:

  • ⬆️ Green arrow - Moved up in the standings
  • ⬇️ Red arrow - Moved down
  • ➡️ Grey dash - No change

This makes it easy to spot who's climbing the leaderboard.

Viewing a Single Day

Sarah can click on any day column header to see just that day's standings.

PLACEHOLDER: Single day leaderboard view

This shows the full competition leaderboard for that day, including:

  • Gross and net scores
  • Stableford points per hole
  • Through how many holes

Live Updates

During play, the leaderboard updates as scores are entered. If Sophie's group submits their score for hole 9, the leaderboard reflects it within moments.

Participants can refresh the page (or it auto-updates) to see the latest standings.

Team Standings

For team events, Sarah can switch to the Team Leaderboard view.

PLACEHOLDER: Team leaderboard toggle

This shows:

Team Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Total
Europe 18 pts 14 pts 32 pts
Internationals 14 pts 18 pts 32 pts

Team points are typically calculated based on match results within each group.

Team Member List with Flags

Each team card shows its members with their country flags (if they've added one to their profile):

The flags add visual flair and make it easy to identify players at a glance. Members can add their flag from Edit My Profile on the trip dashboard.

Tiebreakers

When players are tied on total points, PazGolf uses tiebreakers to determine position:

  1. Countback - Best score on back 9, then back 6, back 3, final hole
  2. Most recent round - Better score in the latest completed round
  3. Alphabetical - If still tied, alphabetical by surname

Tied players show the same position number with a "T" indicator (e.g., "T3" for tied third).

What Participants See

From My Trips

Any participant can view the leaderboard. When Sophie clicks on the trip and then Leaderboard, she sees the same view Sarah does.

Everyone can track the competition throughout the trip.

Highlighted Position

When Sophie views the leaderboard, her own row is highlighted so she can quickly find herself.

Incomplete Days

If a day hasn't started yet, it shows "—" for all players.

If a day is in progress, it shows:

  • Completed scores for finished players
  • "Playing" or hole count for those still on course
  • The total updates as each score is submitted

Exporting Results

At the end of the trip, Sarah can export the final standings:

  1. Click Export Results
  2. Choose format (PDF or CSV)
  3. Download the file

This is useful for:

  • Printing for the presentation dinner
  • Sending to participants who couldn't attend
  • Keeping records for next year

Best-of-X Scoring (Optional)

For longer trips, Sarah might configure "best of X" scoring - where only a player's best rounds count towards their total.

For example, on a 5-day trip with "best 3 of 5":

  • Each player's worst 2 rounds are dropped
  • Only their best 3 rounds count towards the final total
  • Encourages everyone to keep trying even after a bad round

This is configured when setting up the trip (advanced settings).
