Running an Offer¶
An offer is a few items sold together at one price: coffee and a scone for £4 in the winter, a burger and a pint for £9.99 on a society day. You build it from items already on your menu, give each item its price in this offer, and the bundle price is the sum. Change it whenever you like - today's offer can be gone tomorrow.
Creating an offer¶
From your menu screen, the Promotions panel sits above your categories. Tap New offer, name it, tick the items, and type each one's price in the offer. The bundle price updates as you type, so you can see what golfers will pay. Choose the day it starts and, if you want, the day it ends - leave that blank and it runs until you end it.
You price only your own items. To put another provider's item in the bundle - the club bar's pint with your burger - you invite it, and they set its price. See Sharing an offer below.
Sharing an offer with the bar¶
Where two providers share a venue - a caterer in the halfway house and the club's own bar, say - an offer can span both. On the offer form, below your own items, Share with another provider lists the other provider's menu. Tick the items you want in the bundle. You do not price them: that is theirs to decide.
Until they accept, the offer sits in your list marked Not live yet, with a line saying who you are waiting for. Golfers never see a half-finished offer.
The other provider's staff get an email saying what you are asking them to price, with a link to their menu screen. There, the offer appears at the top of their Promotions panel under Pending invitations, with a box for their price in this offer and Accept or Decline. For the club bar, the club admin or the appointed bar manager does this. Once they accept, the offer is live for golfers with the bundle price being the sum of everyone's lines, and it shows in their list marked Shared by you.
You get an email when they accept, with the bundle price now live, and one if they decline. If they decline, your list says so too, and the offer stays off the menu. Edit the offer and untick their item to run it with your items alone, or leave it for them to come back to - pricing it later accepts it. A provider that has accepted can also Leave offer, which takes the offer off the menu until you change it; you get an email saying so, since a live offer has just disappeared.
When a golfer orders a shared offer, each provider's terminal sees only its own line, tagged with the offer's name, and the golfer's tracker shows one status line per provider - exactly as any order from two providers works. Each of you is paid for your own lines at the price you set, and commission is worked out per provider as usual.
Run again on a shared offer re-invites the other provider, with their last price filled in as a suggestion; it goes live once they accept. If you End now a shared offer, or edit it and untick their item, they get a short email saying so, with nothing to do.
Orders already placed¶
Ending or changing an offer never touches an order that has been placed. A golfer who ordered "Burger & Beer" on the 7th and reaches the halfway house after you ended it still collects it, at the price they were shown, and it sits on your terminal exactly as it did, tagged with the offer's name. An offer with orders against it cannot be deleted, only ended.
What golfers see¶
At any collection point that serves every item in the offer, it appears at the top of the menu with its bundle price and a single Add. It goes into the basket as one thing, and the order arrives on your terminal as ordinary lines at the offer's prices, each tagged with the offer's name so the kitchen knows why the bacon roll is £4.00 today.
Offers only show while you are open and taking orders. If you pause the terminal, or your hours say you are closed, the offer disappears from the menu at the same moment - nobody is promised something they cannot collect.
The scorecard banner¶
Give an offer a hole and golfers scoring on PazGolf see a small banner when they finish that hole: the offer, the price, and a button that opens ordering. It is a banner, not a pop-up - it never blocks a scorer - and it shows once per round. Pick a hole a couple before your collection point so there is time to make it.
Separately, every collection point can show a plain "you can order from here" banner even with no offer running. It is on by default, after the hole that gives your kitchen its usual lead time. On the Collection Points screen you can choose the hole yourself or switch it off with one tick.
Live today, scheduled, ended¶
The Promotions panel lists your offers in three groups on your local calendar: Live today, Scheduled for a later start, and Ended. End now takes an offer off immediately; orders already placed keep the prices they were placed at. Run again copies an ended offer live from today, so a Tuesday special is one tap to bring back.
Money¶
Each item in an offer is priced by you, so the split is never guesswork. Commission is worked out on your collected lines exactly as it always was - the offer just changes the price of the line. Nothing about your invoice changes.
