Selling Trips¶
Groups come to you for a few days' golf: a society's weekend away, a group of friends on their annual trip, a company's outing. A club's own members go away together too: the seniors' week in Portugal, the men's section's weekend in Scotland. Selling trips lets you give each group live scoring for its whole trip as part of what you sell them: every round scored on the players' phones, leaderboards as the cards go in, a team cup if they want one, and the bar TV following it all.
These pages follow Ballydrennan Golf Club, a venue that sells trips to the groups who stay and play there and to its own members going away, and Fairway Breaks, a travel company that books golf trips abroad. Ballydrennan sets up a weekend for the Harbour Society, and a week in the Algarve for its own seniors; Fairway Breaks sets one up for a group it is sending away.
How it works¶
You set up the group's trip: its name, dates, courses and how many are playing, and the group's organiser is emailed to open it. A travel company can instead run the trip itself first, setting up the players, rounds and teams, and hand it to the organiser later. From then on the group runs it on their phones, exactly as on any PazGolf trip (Golf Trips covers everything the organiser and players see).
The trip says who set it up. A venue's name sits under the trip's own; a travel company's name and logo are at the top of every page, and on the bar TV.
What it costs, and how you're billed¶
Each trip goes on your monthly PazGolf invoice, charged per player. Your price per player is shown when you set up a trip, before anything is made, so you always know what a trip adds. Most venues add it to the group's package price.
Your first trip can be free, if your arrangement with us includes it. The setup page says so when it is, with what your next trips will cost, so you can price them into the package from the start.
Places you add later go on the same invoice. A trip you cancel before its first day comes off it, or is credited back if an invoice has already taken it. Invoices and Your Account goes through each line.
Venues and travel companies¶
A venue is a club on PazGolf Lite or Club, selling trips to the groups who visit it, and to its own members when they go away: their trip can be on any courses, at home or abroad. Selling trips sits on your admin dashboard, in the Group trips card, and your trips go on the invoice you already have with us.
A travel company books trips but isn't a club. It has its own PazGolf account, with its own home page for its trips and its own billing.
Getting started¶
For a venue: on your admin dashboard, the Group trips card has Talk to us about selling trips. Tap it and we'll be in touch to agree your arrangement.
Once it's in place, the same card shows what's on this month's invoice so far, Set up a group trip, and your next trips. Ballydrennan's has two visiting groups and its own seniors' trip to the Algarve coming up:
For a travel company: we set up your account and email you an invitation. Open the link, choose a password, add a card or a Direct Debit for the monthly invoice, and you're ready to set up your first trip.
Selling trips is under our Trip Reselling Terms, alongside any terms you already have with us. You accept them before your first trip: a venue when it first taps Set up a group trip, a travel company when it chooses its password.
Where to next¶
- Setting up a group's trip - the details, the price before you confirm, and handing it over or running it yourself.
- Your group trips - the list of your trips, adding places, the bar screen link and cancelling.
- Codes - a code for groups who buy their own trip, and the credit it brings you.
- Invoices and your account - what each invoice line means, and a travel company's account.
